One Foot In Designs New Site PDF Print E-mail
One Foot In, the 5-piece band from Southern California is in the process of "speading it's wings" a bit by designing a fully funtional and update-able website, based loosly on the graphical look of the old site. Jeff Newell is handling the task of re-formatting and designing a new site.

"We thought the old site looked great," said Newell, "but the format was too restrictive and hard to update. The new site is built on the popular content management system called Joomla, an open source CMS. This way, we can assign different members to do updating of gig information, add news and articles, and even post blogs or pictures without the use of html tools. It's much handier and we can keep our fans updated much easier.

One Foot In on the Radio and Live Shows PDF Print E-mail
One Foot In is getting some airplay, these days. Their latest CD, "Songbook" is being played on many internet-based radio stations, including Last.fm. "It's tough getting started when no one knows your name or music," says Michael Gardner, one of the group's founding members. "We have to go to extrordinary lengths to get people to listen to our music or come to our shows, but it's worth the effort! Our fans are very loyal and the numbers are increasing."

Using Guerilla Tactics with "Songbook" PDF Print E-mail
One Foot In's latest CD release "Songbook" is getting some pretty fine distribution, these days. Since it hit the street in October, the CD is available as physical product from fine retailers all over the US and as downloads from iTunes Music Store, Napster, and forty other outlets for immediate download. When asked, Jeff Newell, the groups bass player and vocalist said "The greatest experience is to have soemone walk up to you and announce that they have our songs on their iPod! It's almost as moving as hearing one of our songs on the radio."
